Paddy Ryan’s Dream (2)
January 14th, 2008 at 8:13 pm (traditional irish flute, irish flute)
Here’s another Paddy Ryan’s Dream. Mr. Ryan must have been some sleeper.
I think this one is close to the version that John Doherty used to call “Mooney’s Reel”.

Hey, thanks, Michael! We’ve been playing that here and the best I’ve had to go on is Kevin Burke’s version. Lovely to wake up to this

Oooops, that would be Paddy Ryan’s first dream that we’re trudging thru. Although his second is a most interesting take … a real eye-opener, heh. Fun to do the two together? Thank ye again.

Michael, I’m wondering if you know and could play Donnelly’s Reel? I heard it a long ways back and liked it a lot but have never found a recording. Thanks as always. My repertoire is expanding exponentially with your help, Jonathan
