    Hi Michael, I’ve just been alerted to your lovely and seemingly labour-intensive website by Bernie Stocks. Fair play to you! I believe the second tune is Far Away from Home, which Chief O’Neill says he learned from the whistling of a sheepherder (or shepherd) in Nevada, I think.

    Does the first tune bear any relation to the tune known as Molly Bawn?
